Travel Grants for NSW Cancer Summit 2025 - NOW CLOSED
Overview
The NSW Regional Cancer Research Network (NSWRCRN) is offering travel grants to support members attending or presenting at the NSW Cancer Summit 2025, held 13–14 August 2025 at ICC Sydney.
This inaugural event, hosted by the Cancer Institute NSW, will bring together national and international leaders to drive collaboration, innovation, and solutions in cancer research, treatment, and care.
From cutting-edge laboratory research and innovative treatments to prevention strategies and holistic care approaches, the Summit will showcase NSW’s world-leading efforts to support people affected by cancer.
When and Where?
When: Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 August 2025
Where: ICC Sydney
Day 1 (Wednesday 13 August):
- 8:00 am – Delegate Registration
- 9:00 am – Sessions Commence
- 5:00 pm – Poster Display & Networking Function
- 6:30 pm – End of Day 1

Day 2 (Thursday 14 August):
- 7:00 am – Breakfast Workshop
- 8:00 am – Delegate Registration
- 9:00 am – Sessions Start
- 5:00 pm – Conference Closes

Travel Grant Support
NSWRCRN has funding available to support 20 members attending and/or presenting at the NSW Cancer Summit 2025. Travel support will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Support packages are available by region:

| Hunter New England (residing >250 km from Sydney) |

• Up to 2 nights’ accommodation in Sydney |
| Mid-North Coast and Northern NSW (residing >250 km from Sydney, requiring air travel — i.e., flight distance, not driveable) |
• Conference registration fee
• Up to 2 nights’ accommodation in Sydney
• Return economy airfare |
Eligibility
To apply, you must:
- ✔ Be a registered NSWRCRN member (click here to join)
- ✔ Be a healthcare worker, clinician, researcher, PhD student, or consumer conducting or affiliated with cancer research and/or services within:
- Central Coast LHD
- Hunter New England LHD
- Mid North Coast LHD
- Northern NSW LHD
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online through the NSWRCRN platform (email submissions will not be accepted).
If successful, you will receive an NSWRCRN registration link, and all accommodation and airfare bookings (if funded) must be arranged through NSWRCRN.
Acknowledgement of Support
Recipients must acknowledge support from the NSW Regional Cancer Research Network and the Cancer Institute NSW by including the relevant logo(s) on all presentations.
