Interested in becoming a member of the NSW Regional Cancer Research Network?
If you are located within the geographical footprint covered by one of our partner Local Health Districts and have an interest in undertaking research designed to improve equity of cancer outcomes in regional NSW, you are welcome to become a member of the NSW Regional Cancer Research Network.
Membership is open to:
- Researchers and health and medical professionals
- Staff of regional cancer support services (public or private)
- People affected by cancer, including current or past patients, family members and carers
- Government or policy professionals and members of peak bodies
- Other end-users with an interest in regional cancer research
Becoming a member of the NSW Regional Cancer Research Network is free and provides access to a range of opportunities and supports, including:
- Engagement and knowledge exchange with researchers, clinicians and consumers via our virtual collaboration platform
- Opportunities to form new collaborations to develop and deliver regional cancer research projects
- Access to research-enabling initiatives, including funding opportunities and professional research support
- Opportunities to contribute to State and Federal policy discussions through Network-coordinated consultation submissions
- Access to specialist research management, administration and governance expertise
- Updates on locally relevant news, workshops, opportunities and initiatives in cancer research

Not located within the Network’s geographical footprint?
If you are interested in the Network’s activities but are not located within our geographical footprint, you can still join as an affiliate member.
Affiliate members receive access to the members’ area of our virtual collaboration platform and Network communications.
Please note: Affiliate members are not eligible to apply for Network funding opportunities.
