About the opportunity
The NSW Regional Cancer Research Network (NSWRCRN) is committed to delivering initiatives that strengthen cancer research capability and foster a collaborative research culture across regional NSW
We are pleased to offer NSWRCRN members the opportunity to take part in a tailored one-on-one 90-minute career coaching session with Emeritus Professor Kylie Ball, Founder of Indago Academy.
The fully-funded session offers practical, personalised support to help you clarify your career direction, navigate challenges, achieve your goals, and build your research capability within the NSW cancer research ecosystem.
What the career coaching package includes
Each coaching package includes:
- A 90-minute online coaching session with Emeritus Professor Kylie Ball
- Pre-session virtual support (including email exchange) to understand your goals and tailor the session
- Post-session follow-up including coaching notes, resources and suggested next steps

About Emeritus Professor Kylie Ball
Emeritus Professor Kylie Ball (BA(Psych)(Hons), PhD, FAHMS, AM) is a world-leading researcher with over 20 years of experience in research and research leadership. She has been ranked in the top 1% globally in her field, secured more than $25 million in competitive research funding, and published over 300 papers. In 2021, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to public health.
Eligibility
To apply, you must:
- Be a current NSWRCRN member at the time of application
- Not a member? Please join the Network before submitting your application.
- Be a healthcare worker, clinician, researcher or PhD student involved in or affiliated with cancer research within the NSWRCRN footprint.
- PhD students: you must have commenced at least the third year of your candidature (full-time equivalent) at the time of application

If your application is successful, you will receive instructions on how to book your coaching session.
